1. To enjoy carp fishing and especially be successful at it,
you must learn to "sight fish." Look for tails flickering out of the water.
This indicates a fish actively feeding (commonly called rooting or "rooters").
Cast slightly infront of the fish (2-4 feet) in order to "lead" the fish to the fly.>
----It is VERY IMPORTANT to stay hidden. Wear dull clothing (in color).
Walking gently to avoid heavy foot-falls.

2.You only get a few chances to properly place an
accurate cast. These fish
are extremely spooky! Avoid excessive "false"
casts. This type of fishing
WILL make you a proficient distance caster.

5. Smile for the camera! After the fly has
settled to the lake surface,
wait a few minutes. Then, after you've patiently
showed great resolve pull a
few "micro-retieves." Pause a few seconds. Then,
"micro-retieve again. Do
this pattern all the way until your fly is on the
bank. Yes, you'll be
surprised as to how many fish you will catch this
close to shore.

"Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzing!"
